Find Your Team. Build Your Confidence.

Hey

I’m really glad you’re here.

If you’ve ever felt lonely, out of place, or like you don’t quite belong — this is for you.

TEAM UP isn’t about being popular or changing who you are.
It’s about learning how to find your people, take small brave steps, and build real confidence through connection and action.

This is the same framework I wish I had when I was growing up on a small island in Alaska, feeling like an underdog with big dreams.

Why TEAM UP Exists

A lot of students today feel lonely — even when they’re surrounded by people.

Phones, comparison, pressure, and fear of judgment make it easy to isolate and harder to connect. TEAM UP exists to give you a real-world roadmap for building meaningful relationships and confidence — without pretending life is perfect.

The 6 Steps

To team up

I wish I had a simple roadmap like this when I was younger.

These are the same steps I had to learn the hard way — and the ones I still come back to when life feels lonely or off track.

STEP 1: Identify the Tribe You Want to Be a Part Of

Think about where you feel most like yourself — or where you’d like to feel that way.

It could be a sport, a club, a group, a class, a cause, or even a new environment. You don’t need to fit in everywhere — just somewhere.

Start by choosing one place where connection feels possible.

STEP 2: Figure Out WHY You Want to Be There

Ask yourself:

What draws me to this group?

What kind of person do I want to become by being around them?

Knowing why gives you courage when things feel awkward or uncomfortable at first — and they will.

That’s normal.

STEP 3: Make a Game Plan and TAKE ACTION (Write It Down)

Confidence grows through action — not thinking.

Decide:

What’s one small step I can take?

When will I take it?

What will I say or do?

Write it down. Then do it.

Small action beats big intention every time.

STEP 4: Fail Forward (Learn, Don’t Lose)

Not every attempt will go perfectly.

Sometimes it’ll feel awkward.

Sometimes it won’t work.

That doesn’t mean you failed — it means you learned.

Ask:

What worked?

What didn’t?

What will I try next?

Progress comes from learning, not quitting.

STEP 5: Invite a Friend — Share What You’re Doing

Connection grows faster when you invite someone along.

You don’t need a big group. One person is enough.

Inviting someone builds leadership, courage, and trust — even if they say no. The act of inviting matters.

STEP 6: Raise the Bar

Once you build confidence, use it.

What’s one bigger step you can take now?

Join something new

Lead something small

Help someone else feel included

Confidence multiplies when you give it away.
