I recieved my game, and noticed Vista is not listed anywhere on the box, so tried to use the updater, it hung and would not go through, went to the ea patch site and it has different patches for the UK or US version The game does start up but I know there will be little glitches unless it is updated to Vista.
Contacted the seller, waiting for response on how to tell which version this is and which patch to download. One person found this helpful. Unfortunately, no matter how much I tried, I could not get the game running on Windows 7.
No amount of patches or compatibility tweaks will make this game work for me. I know this game is great, and it is a shame I can’t play it on PC.
I guess I will have to settle for PS3 or Xbox As a side note, the PSP game is just as great. I would give that game 5 stars. This game for pc looks better then most racing games out right now for the ps3 and ! This game takes me back! Makes me realize how terrible need for speed games have gotten since this. This was defiantly the last good need for speed game made. Affordable and fun. This game is a blast to play, and I really enjoy the fact that this is the first need for speed that included a few muscle cars from the 60’s.
