Meet Jesse…
Jesse LeBeau is an American actor, rising streetball player, and motivational speaker. He is perhaps best known for his role in a Kobe Bryant commercial for Nike.
Jesse grew up on a small island in Alaska that had no roads or stores. Every day he had to commute by small boat to get ‘to town’ for school. At a young age he developed a love for sports, particularly basketball as the warm and well lit gymnasium provided a great sanctuary from the often inclement weather conditions.
Much of his early life was inspired by older brother Luke LeBeau and basketball legend Pistol Pete. He breathed, ate, and slept basketball. His willingness to work harder than anyone led to a lot of early successes. Before he even hit high school he had won several state free throw competitions and came up one shot away from having his name in the basketball Hall of Fame. His work ethic always stood out growing up, and continues to be a defining quality in his life.
Jesse left Alaska to play college ball in San Diego in 2005.
After earning a degree in Business and Communications he returned home to Alaska to commercial fish. It was during this time he decided against going overseas to play professional basketball in Hungary. Instead, he followed the encouragement and support of his family to pursue an acting career in Hollywood
Since moving to LA his basketball skills have helped get his foot in the door in the entertainment industry, landing starring roles in commercials for Kobe Bryant and with other NBA players such as Dwayne Wade, Rajon Rondo, Blake Griffin and Amare Stoudemire.
He has begun to make a name in the world of streetball playing in nationally televised games on Fox Sports Net against the best players in world. Playing under the nickname ‘Spin Cycle’ he has had the opportunity to be coached by Matt Barnes and Dennis Rodman. He has been featured by SLAM Magazine, on radio shows, news programs, and a variety of newspapers.
Jesse has joined forces with the urban lifestyle sports company Deuce Brand as a sponsored athlete and rep. Still passionate about sports he is excited to be working with a company that is involved with so many pro athletes. He is also affiliated with the LA Chapter of the Entrepreneur’s Organization.
Working with kids and giving back to the community is very close to his heart. He recently put on several basketball camps for youth in rural parts of Alaska. Jesse’s passion for inspiring and encouraging kids is something that drives him to excel to the highest levels possible. He aspires to reach the highest levels of success with the hope that it will extend his reach and platform allowing him to positively influence the lives of as many people, particularly the youth, as possible.
He just finished working on a Warner Brother’s film starring NBA star Kevin Durant and has several other opportunities coming up this year with upcoming movies, projects, and streetball. He is currently writing a book which reflects on the lessons learned throughout his life, and how to use our passion and gifts to create the life you’ve only imagined living!
